Flash at Work: Using Named Anchors

Named anchors allow users to employ a browser’s Back and Forward buttons to navigate to designated areas of a movie. Browser navigation functions as a backup to navigation systems within Flash movies. Ideally, the navigation you’ve designed within a movie allows users to traverse your content as needed to accomplish goals. However, named anchors enable you to bookmark frames or scenes so that the browser buttons provide some control over movie playback.

Named anchors are assigned in keyframes. To specify named anchors to a movie, follow these steps:
