Did You Know?

  • Move your cursor over each button and leave it there for a short moment. You will be able to read tooltips for each button that doesn't have a text label.

  • Always perform file tests before you begin a project to ensure you do not create a design that might be too large to export. Test early and test often.

  • You can use the Subselect tool on the main toolbar to work with your curves, much like the tools you use in Illustrator or FreeHand.

  • To reduce file size, try reducing the keyframes of an imported 3D animation by removing every other frame. Your animation will appear to run more quickly and the file will be reduced by 50%.

  • If you have a picture you want to use, but it has too much detail, open the file in Photoshop and remove the detail by either creating greater contrast or using levels to blow out areas of light and dark. Scaling the image to 50% larger than you intend to use it also helps. When you trace the image, you will be able to scale it down as a vector image and remove the imperfections.

  • To quickly test your movie's bandwidth usage, test your movie; then use the Bandwidth

  • Profiler (select Control, Bandwidth Profiler in Flash) to see how your movie will download.
