Using the Swatches Library

Most major development projects start with definitions of basic color schemes. Sometimes the colors are implied. In other cases, designers and clients sweat over the subtle differences between hues, trying to match up just the right color scheme.

After that is done, you probably will want to document the various RGB or hex values you used. Most designers keep that basic information scribbled somewhere on a notepad, but you also can keep any color developments inside Flash using customized swatches. Access the Swatches panel, shown in Figure 4.4, by selecting Window, Panels, Swatches (or by clicking the Swatches tab if you already have the Mixer panel open).
