Controlling the Size and Rotation of Sprites

A major advantage to using Flash sprites in Director is that they can be scaled, stretched, and skewed without impacting the quality of the artwork, unlike the bitmap graphics that have dominated Director for most of its existence.

The combination of scaling and rotation of a Flash sprite, and working in the various coordinate systems of the Flash sprite and the Director stage can be very complex, but it becomes a very powerful technique after it is mastered.
