Manipulating the Authoring Environment

Flash is built on a founding principle that objects, and their properties, can be managed over time. It's a fundamental principle that might seem obvious to some developers and downright puzzling to others. Ultimately, if you begin to see yourself as a conductor, choreographer, and film director all under one hat, the philosophy behind Flash becomes easier to absorb.

Start with the stage. This area allows users to arrange their actors, introduce actions to the actors, and change scenery and the costumes. The stage area is rendered as a large white rectangle found in the center of Flash authoring environment. All the elements you use to create your movie be contained here.
