Did You Know?

  • When you are applying a motion guide to a shape on a layer, you must snap the object to each end of the path in two keyframes for the motion to work properly. Also, you should use symbols with a motion guide simply because the center point often is easier to distinguish compared with a group or bitmap image.

  • You can shape tween text after you have used the Break Apart command on the text block. After this is done, all the letters are fair game and can be modified any way you like over a tween.

  • Motion tweens also can be used for color, including the alpha value on an object. This gives you the ability to fade in or fade out objects on the stage.

  • Shape hints can help direct an animation to go in a particular direction. Or, you can randomly place them on a shape and move them around to produce strange and unanticipated results.

  • Save yourself some time and use the Reverse Frames command under Modify, Frames in the main menu to copy and paste the first half .of a sequence and run it backward.
