Ungroup or Break Apart?

Many of us use grouping to move or categorize multiple objects on the Stage as one larger object or group. This adds less size to a movie than creating a symbol, and it’s best to use this when you don’t have objects that are used over and over.

When you group several objects using CTRL-G or CMD–G on the Mac, you can select that group in the future and go to Modify > Ungroup (CTRL-SHIFT-G or SHIFT-CMD–G on the Mac) to remove the grouping and return all the items to their normal individual state. What I never understood is that you can select a group and press CTRL-B or CMD-B to break apart the group, and it has the same exact effect. So the question is, “Why use one over the other?” Well, there is no reason, so I say always use CTRL-B. You don’t have to remember another key combo, and you save yourself having to hold down a third key. Wow, I just realized how lazy I am.
