Common Libraries

You know those Common Libraries that come with Flash, found under Window > Other Panels > Common Libraries? Ever wish you could add your own to that list? Yeah, me too, so let’s do it. These Common Libraries are just Flash documents placed in a specific directory that Flash reads. So all you have to do is create a Flash document with all the Library assets you want frequent access to and then put it in the appropriate directory. Okay, fine, I’ll tell you what directory it is. Place your document in the Libraries folder located inside the Configuration folder of your Flash application folder on your hard drive. For help, refer to the “Path to Excellence” tip in Chapter 1, “I’ll Lay You Out.”
