Seminar Summary

In this seminar, you learned many new actions and how to attain new ActionScript functionality for calling and controlling objects in your movie. You learned how to use relative paths and the _parent reference. You also learned to how to create an else statement for creating logic. You will use the if and else statements often in your Flash development for creating logic. You also should try to use relative paths as often as possible. They keep your script flexible and save on file size because not as many objects need to be identified when the script is compiled.

You also learned how to create your own custom movie clip. Through the clip parameters, you can customize the movie clip for your movie. Keep movie clips in mind as you create other Flash movies, and use them when you need to encapsulate script for a movie clip that you will use often in the movie.
