Seminar 16. Publishing and Testing the S... > Publishing the Site for Internet Acc...

Publishing the Site for Internet Access

The Honeycomb movie is complete. You have all the activity movies created and functioning. Buzzy Bee is communicating the appropriate information and all buttons are working. The login captures the end-user’s name, and everything is complete on the development side. Now you need to prepare the movie for publishing. This requires setting your publish settings to generate an SWF file of the movie and creating the HTML page required for viewing the file in a browser. You will also generate a GIF image to be used as an alternative image in case the end-user does not have the required Flash Player plug-in. This workshop will guide you through the publishing process.

Setting the Formats Tab Options

To begin the publish processing, you first want to set the publish settings for the movie. You want the movie to be viewed on many different platforms and through all the browsers, and you know that your target audience will have a range of computers from new to very old, as well as a variety of Internet connections. Therefore, you will set your publish settings to ensure that all users can access the site.
