Communicating with The Honeycomb Site Visitor

Now that you have a little experience working with ActionScript to create interactivity and control movie clips, you will make Buzzy Bee communicate with the end-user. He will do this through a dialog bubble that displays when the end-user clicks or rolls over one of the Activity buttons. Because the Activity buttons are instances of the button symbols, you must use the on action with the appropriate event handler to trigger the button. You also must combine this action with other ActionScript statements that are directed at controlling the bubble movie clip instance. Remember: All movie clips are objects within the Movie Clip class and have built-in properties that can be controlled.

Setting Up for the Buzzy Bee Communication

First, you will make a symbol that has both Buzzy Bee and the dialog bubble. The dialog bubble is used to communicate information to the end-user; it will display and hide based on the end-user’s interaction with the movie. Follow these steps to create this symbol:
