Seminar Summary

This seminar covered adding and using sound in a Flash MX movie. You should feel comfortable adding sound to your movies when you develop in Flash. You also learned how to customize the compression settings for individual sounds in a movie. You will learn how to globally set the compression settings for both streaming and event sounds in Seminar 16. Hopefully, you can see the benefit of adding a sound toggle button for enabling the end-user to turn sound on and off. You will use this type of sound functionality in future movies that you develop.

The next seminar covers more advanced animation and interactivity effects. You will learn how to use a mask for showing only certain objects on your Stage. You also will create a drop-down menu for the Slider button. You’ll also get more coverage on ActionScript when you make Buzzy Bee’s eyes blink randomly throughout the movie.
