Chapter FIVE. 3D WIREFRAME DECONSTRUCTIO... > STEP 04 importing the CPU INTO FLASH

STEP 04 importing the CPU INTO FLASH

The 3D sequence is now ready to be imported into Flash. Once the files are incorporated into a symbol, you can further trim file size by breaking apart the vectors and removing any unneeded segments. To bring a 3D sequence into Flash, follow these steps:

1.
In Flash, choose Insert > New Symbol (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-F8) to create a new symbol.

Be sure to give it a meaningful name. I've called mine cpu_rotate.

2.
In the Symbol Editor, select File > Import. Select the first .ai file in the wireframe sequence (see (see figure 05:07). Flash recognizes the sequence and gives you the option of automatically importing all similarly named files in separate keyframes. Choose Yes to bring in all the sequential files.
