PHP Scripting for Dynamic Content

Let's start with the opposite of dynamic, which is static. Static sites (or Web brochures) are the same each time they are visited. Updates to static pages are done manually.

Dynamic, on the other hand, refers to actions that take place at the moment they are needed, rather than in advance. For Web sites, this means that Web pages sent to the visitor's browser are created at the server, when they are needed.
