Chapter 9. Producing Online Slide Shows > Working with a Screen Hierarchy

Working with a Screen Hierarchy

In the top-level screen (with the default name presentation), you might place a company's logo and other branding or design materials. Likewise, the top-level page can be used to set up a navigation scheme. Because all other pages are nested into the presentation page, whatever is on that page appears on all other pages as well. Another way of putting it is that all children, grandchildren, and their children, ad infinitum, inherit the contents of their parental lineage. Figure 9.1 shows screen pages laid out in a parental hierarchy with the screen names reflecting their position in the hierarchy.

Figure 9.1. Each child inherits all the materials from its parental lineage.
