3. Your First Animation > 3.3. Animation

Animation

The tension has been mounting, and it’s finally time to animate. Instead of animating each box individually, however, we’ll animate all five at one time. (Shocking, isn’t it?)

Why are we creating five animations at once? Well, because we can. There’s no reason to create each one individually when we can do them all at once and consolidate our workload. The first thing to do is add keyframes to create the endpoints for the animation. Keyframes can also be used to define midpoints in animations, but for this animation, we need only two keyframes.

Your First Animation

For the first part of our animation, we want the boxes to transition from one color to another over time. For now, we’ll perform the animation over 20 frames.
