Form Applications

To create a new form application, use the Start screen, or select File > New, and select Form Application from the New Document dialog box. As it does with the slide presentation, Flash divides your main document window into a Screen inspector on the left and the Stage to the right.

Form applications, like slides, are built using the screen component. To add screens, click the Add Screens (+) button in the Screen inspector. To remove screens, click the Delete Screen (–) button. As with positioning slides, you can select and drag screens to new positions, thereby rearranging their order.

The first screen is the master screen and determines the properties of all the other screens after it. To change the properties of the master screen, select the master screen, and then select the Stage. From there, you can change properties the same way as you change them for a basic document.

NOTE

To nest screens, drag them to the right of another screen or right- or Control-click a screen and select Insert Nested Screen.

To change screen names, double-click the name in the Screen inspector, or select the screen and rename it in the Property inspector.

IMPORTANT

Screen names must begin with a letter and cannot contain spaces or special characters.
