Movie Clip Events

Events are essentially things that objects listen for, then when they hear them, execute a block of code. Movie clips react to numerous events, including mouse events that happen “on” the object.

Events trigger event handlers, as we'll see in more detail in the Chapter 28, “The Basics of ActionScript.” Here, we'll focus on movie clip events.
