Chapter 7. The Flash Player > Flash Player Settings

Flash Player Settings

The current version of the Flash player is capable of using ActionScript 2.0. ActionScript 2.0 can also be used by Flash Player version 6. Both versions of the Flash Player have capabilities that can store information on the client machine in the form of Shared Objects, and both can access attached microphones and cameras, which can be used for video conferencing.

Often overlooked, the Flash Player has its own settings that can be altered on a client machine. These settings give end users greater control over what the Flash Player is doing with Flash content from web site to web site. To retrieve and change the settings, right or control click on a SWF as it's running, and from the Context menu, choose Settings.
