Behaviors

Behaviors are pre-built pieces of ActionScript that can be quickly and easily applied to something without having to write any script of your own. They're broken down into multiple categories, and each behavior has a special dialog box of its own that prompts you to add some additional information at the time of application so that the behavior can execute correctly.

The behaviors themselves have absorbed much of the most used aspects of Normal Mode in previous versions of Flash, and simplified them into easy to use and understand dialog boxes. When you add a behavior, the actual ActionScript is added to whatever was selected, and will show in the Actions Panel (see the next chapter for more on that).
