Chapter 27. The Actions Panel > Using the Panel to Get Reference Information

Using the Panel to Get Reference Information

One of the neat features of the Actions panel is that it allows you to quickly look up items in the ActionScript dictionary in two different ways.

First, you can select an item in the Categories pane, and either right- or Control-click it. From the Context menu, choose View Help. Flash will automatically open the Help window, and move to that item's entry in the ActionScript dictionary. This is really very useful when you're just learning, or when you need to look an item up that you've never used or heard of before.
