Chapter 22. Shape Tweening > Shape Tween Settings

Shape Tween Settings

Shape tween settings on the Property Inspector modify how the tween executes. They're pretty straightforward:

  • Easing. This option either speeds up the animation and slows down at the end when a positive number is selected, or slows down an animation and speeds it up toward the end when a negative number is selected. The animation still executes over its given amount of time.

  • Blend. This option determines how smooth the animation appears when animating, and has two settings:

    • Distributive. Smoothes the in-between shapes as they animate.

    • Angular. Maintains straight lines and corners as the animation executes.
