The Playhead

The playhead controls playback on the timeline. When the timeline has more than one frame, the playhead moves down the timeline at a speed based on the frame rate (how many frames are flipped through per second), displaying the contents of each frame as it moves and thus creating the appearance of animation. You can also use ActionScript to control the position of the playhead.
