Summary

Static content is anything that's embedded directly into your Flash document. Changing static content requires changing the FLA file, then republishing the SWF that will reside on the server.

Dynamic content is anything stored outside of the SWF, but called into the interface when the SWF plays in the browser. Text, MP3 Sounds, JPG images, and FLV formatted video can all be loaded dynamically. SWFs can also be loaded dynamically into target movie clips in a timeline, or into levels of the Flash Player.
