Handling Events on Components

In order for components to be of use in your application, they need to do something, and generally, that means that users have to interact with them. All of the UI components have some kind of event that they can respond to (even the TextArea component), and we can handle those events rather easily.

To handle events on components, first identify what event you want the component to respond to. In the case of a Button component, that may be a mouse click, or in the case of the ComboBox, that could be the selection of an item.
