Runtime Sharing

Runtime sharing is another technique that you can use to make sure your file sizes are as small as possible. We talked about runtime sharing in Chapter 9, “Organizational Tools and Where to Find Them.” We'll review it here.

First, the idea is to share assets such as symbols or bitmaps from one SWF and use them in multiple SWFs. In this fashion, the shared assets are not actually brought into an SWF until the file runs.The general steps are summarized here:
