Summary

ActionScript is Flash's object-oriented scripting language. It is the sister language to JavaScript. The Actions panel lets you add and edit actions applied to an object or a frame. You can do so in two modes: Normal and Expert. When in Normal mode, parameters are clearly laid out for you. When in Expert mode, the parameter section is no longer present. All of Flash's ActionScript subcategories are neatly compiled in a toolbox in the left pane of the Actions panel. ActionScript has rules of grammar and punctuation, which make up its syntax.
