Lesson 7. Programming with ActionScript > Using the TextField Object

Using the TextField Object

Flash has several built-in objects, which you can use to customize many aspects of your movies. One of the built-in objects is the TextField object. Every instance of a dynamic or input text box in Flash is a copy of the TextField object. The TextField object has a number of properties, including background, backgroundColor, border, and borderColor. You can use these properties to customize the look of your text boxes with ActionScript, as you'll do in the next exercise.
