Lesson 1. Flash Basics > Modifying the Movie Properties

Modifying the Movie Properties

Before you start making a movie in Flash, you should think about its properties, such as the size, the frame rate, and the background. It's a good idea to decide what the properties should be before you start working with the movie, because it can be difficult to make changes after you've added artwork to the movie.

You can set the dimensions of your movie—as well as its background color, frame rate, and the units of measure of the stage's ruler—in the Movie Properties dialog box. In the following exercise, you'll modify the dimensions and background color of the movie that you opened in the preceding exercise.
