Lesson 8. Adding Complex Interactivity > Using the Include Action

Using the Include Action

You can use the include action to include the contents of an external file in your ActionScript. This procedure is great for complicated ActionScript or for ActionScript you want to reuse many times throughout your movie.

The include action has the following syntax: #include "filename.as". This action requires a filename argument, which refers to the name of an external file containing the ActionScript you want to include. The recommended extension for the external file is .as.
