Lesson 8. Adding Complex Interactivity

Lesson 8. Adding Complex Interactivity

Your next project is a jigsaw puzzle, which you will add to the Neptune Resorts Web site in Lesson 12. This jigsaw puzzle is composed of nine draggable puzzle pieces. When you drag a piece to the correct spot, it will snap into place and can no longer be dragged. This puzzle also uses the swapDepths method, which you can use to set the depth, or stacking order, of movie clips dynamically.

Creating your own jigsaw puzzle is a snap.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

In this lesson, you will:

  • Reuse an ActionScript by using the include action

  • Modify symbols quickly by using the Movie Explorer

  • Make a draggable movie clip snap into place

  • Use conditions to turn an action off

  • Make a dragged movie clip appear above all other clips

APPROXIMATE TIME

It usually takes about one hour to complete this lesson.
