The Slash Notation and Tell Target

So far, in constructing your target paths, you've been using dots to separate nested movie-clip objects. However, Flash also allows you to insert target paths using slashes instead. The slash syntax is the notation used by previous versions of Flash and may provide a more comfortable way of working for some longtime Flash users. The Insert Target Path dialog box gives you the choice of either Slash notation or Dot notation (Figure 5.31).
