Chapter 13. Using the Library to Manage ... > Working with Sounds, Bitmaps, and Vi...

Working with Sounds, Bitmaps, and Videos in the Library Window

Working with sounds, bitmaps, and videos in the Library window varies only slightly from working with symbols. There are basically two tasks you can perform on these library assets: You can get or change their properties (for example, name, compression settings, and so on), and you can update them to reflect the most current version of the file that was used when they were imported into Flash. Both of these are tasks discussed more fully in Chapter 5, "Sound," and Chapter 6, "Bitmaps."

To get or change the properties of a sound, bitmap, or video from within the Library window:

1.
Select a sound, bitmap, or video asset from the Library window; it will be highlighted.

2.
From the Options menu in the Library window, choose Properties, or click the Properties button at the bottom of the Library window.
