Identifying Graphical Elements on Different Layers

In complex scenes it can be difficult to keep track of which layers contain what elements. Don't despair: Flash offers some features that make this task easier.

When you select an element on the stage, two visual cues appear: The name of the layer that contains it is highlighted; and the bounding box of the selected element is the same color as the layer on which it resides, as long as you're using the proper preference setting (Figure 9.14).
