Options and Settings

No two people's work styles are identical. Thus, the reason for user-definable settings: You may feel a program is working too slowly under its current settings, or that you liked the features of an older version better, or that the "help" offered just gets in the way. Whatever the case, Flash 5 is easy to configure so that it works for you.

Preferences

By choosing Edit > Preferences, you bring up the Preferences settings dialog box (Figure 2.43), which contains three tabs that let you control and set General, Editing, and Clipboard preferences. Let's take a look at each group of settings.
