Understanding Library Window Views

You can resize the Library window just as you would any other window, or you can quickly toggle between a wide window and a narrow one. In its wide state, the Library window displays as many as five columns of information about each element (its name, what kind of object it is, how many times it appears in the movie, whether it's exported or imported as a shared asset, and the last modification date). In the narrow view, you generally see the first column of information.

To view the wide Library window:

  • In the open Library window, click the Wide State button (Figure 6.5).

Figure 6.5. Click the Wide State button to open a wide view of the Library window. Click the Narrow State button to open a narrow view.

Flash widens the window to accommodate all columns.
