Adding Actions to a Frame

You can assign actions to only one frame at a time, but each frame can contain multiple actions. Flash executes the actions in the order in which they appear in the Actions List. To change a selected action's place in the list, click the Up and Down buttons. To get a feel for working with the Actions panel, practice adding, moving, and deleting actions that have no parameters. You learn more about how the actions and parameters operate in later exercises.

For the following exercises, create a Flash movie that has two scenes, each of which consists of two layers. To help keep track of what goes in which layer, name the bottom layer in each scene Actions; name the top layer Content. In each Content layer, insert keyframes into Frames 1 through 5. Use the text tool to place idengifying text on the Stage for each frame—Scene 1•Frame 1, Scene 1•Frame 2, and so on.
