Selecting Frames

Flash 5 offers two styles for selecting frames in the Timeline. The default Flash 5 Timeline creates a clear visual relation ship between a keyframe and any subsequent in-between frames that display that keyframe's content. The default selection style takes advantage of what I call keyframe units when you select frames. The Flash 4 style treats every frame as an individual. When you understand the way each style works, you can choose one style (or change between styles) to take advantage of the different selection capabilities.

Except where noted, the examples in this book use Flash 5's default selection style.
