FILLS

Gradient fills are area fills consisting of more than one color. They can be created by accessing the Color dialog box from the palette of any of the line, shape, or fill tools. Click on the Gradient tab. The two types of gradient fills are linear and radial. Both types can contain from two to eight colors. Individual colors can also be set to transparent using the Alpha slider (see Figure A–2).

Solid fills are area fills consisting of colors of varying transparency. Accessing the palette or Color dialog box from the palette of any of the line, shape, or fill tools can change the fill color. Click on the Solid tab. Colors can be set to levels of transparency using the Alpha slider.
