Change management implementation approaches vary from company to company (Hawking, Stein, & Foster, 2003). Two accepted definitions are: Change management refers to,

“the effort to manage people through the emotional ups and down that inevitably occur when an organisation is undergoing massive change” (Nah & Sieber, 2002).
