Wrap-up

We covered a lot of ground here and much of it seems to have less to do with actually building your store than you might have guessed. The next chapter will cover more, but before you head off to it, think for a moment. Right now you might be trying to launch too quickly. The moral of this chapter is to get everything set right the first time.

As the story about Tronix shows, you can have a lot of problems if you jump in without much thought. If you do not consider every detail before launching your store, you may be bitten by a shaky ISP, a weak phone system, a clueless lawyer, or other snafu. The best thing you can do during launch phase is take things slowly. Make sure you're fully ready to launch even before you upload your first pages to your site. Take the time to compare services and products and experiment with the software. Get into your office space, make sure all the phone lines work, and spend the time making sure your distributors are 100 percent behind you.
