The research for this book identified that the one key issue of strategy execution often neglected by an organization is that of content ownership. Content may be king, but the best content comes from an acknowledgment that it is the total environment within the organization that contributes and supports that final Web page and its relationship with the customer.

Note

A content owner is any member of the organization who will either display information on the site or have his or her function affected by the site and its use (e.g., logistics, purchasing, service).
