Manufacturing

In a sector that includes automobiles, clothing, machine tools, and computers, products have normally been supplied to the retail customer through a series of intermediaries, each of which provide a service in exchange for a fee. This sector is undergoing significant change—manufacturers are in the process of determining who their customers are and how that relationship is changing, as well as how their product is going to change and the impact e-commerce will have on their relationships with their suppliers.
