Part: I Creating Your First Style Sheet > Setting Your Page's Other Styles

Chapter 3. Setting Your Page's Other Styles

In the previous chapter, you gained some experience setting the base characteristics for your page using styles, including specifying the appearance of your page's body and paragraphs. In this chapter, you create styles for controlling the appearance of some of the more commonly used HTML elements, including:

  • Setting the font size, color, and horizontal alignment of your page's H1 (level-one heading) element.

  • Using a group selector to set font and margin properties for your page's H2 and H3 elements.

  • Controlling the vertical spacing and bullet type of your page's bulleted lists.

  • Setting the color of your page's address block and hypertext links.
