A Flexible Base. Now What?

Thus far, we've explored how to set a single font-size for the entire page. Naturally, we'll want certain design elements to reflect various sizes throughout—headings, lists, subtitles, navigation, tables—each potentially having a different size than the default. But what is the best way to handle declaring additional sizes, whether smaller or larger than our base?

I'm recommending a method that's been successful for me, one that I believe is easy to grasp and that makes it easy to modify, add, or edit sizes throughout the life cycle of a Web site.
