Setting the Visible Area of an Element (Clipping)

Unlike setting the width and the height of an element, which controls its dimensions (see Chapter 7), clipping an element designates how much of that element is visible in the window. The rest of the element's content will still be there, but it will be invisible to the viewer and treated as empty space by the browser (Figure 9.3).
