Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML)

XML and XSL hold many promises for Web designers, not the least of which is the ability to separate the display of content from its actual layout (http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/). Freeing the content from its layout means that rather than having to sweat the details on each page, you can control the layout for a site from a single location.

But how do you get Web designers to switch from HTML, with which they are comfortable, to the more complex XML?
