Chapter 11. The Document Object Model > Using the Cross-Browser DOM

Using the Cross-Browser DOM

Many of the dynamic functions presented in this book use the cross-browser DOM described in the preceding section. Rather than retype that code on every page where you need it, you can place all this code in an external text file and then import that file into the HTML pages as needed (see "Using an External JavaScript File" in Chapter 23).

Code 11.9. You can import the findDOM.js file into any HTML document as needed to create DHTML functions. Remember this file; you will be using it often in this book.
