Netscape 4 and Nested Layers

When you are accessing layers nested within layers (Netscape layers or CSS layers), just having the ID of the final layer to be addressed is not enough. Netscape 4 requires that you include the IDs of all the objects.

Suppose that you have an object called object2 that is nested in another object called object1 (Figure 11.21). Internet Explorer 4/5 and Netscape 6 can address object2 directly by using the DOM, but Netscape 4 has to include object1 in the DOM path.
