Part 2: Part 2: Dynamic HTML > Dynamic Techniques: CSS

Chapter 15. Dynamic Techniques: CSS

The Document Object Model (DOM) for Internet Explorer 4/5 and Netscape 6 allows for some interesting effects when you create dynamic HTML with CSS. In contrast to Netscape 4, which allows you to change only the CSS position properties, Internet Explorer 4/5 and Netscape 6 recognize changes in any of the CSS properties available to them (see Appendix B). As a result, you can dynamically control your CSS in the browser window by making changes in styles, and these changes are visible immediately—dynamic CSS.

In this chapter, I will show you how to add and remove CSS rules and definitions dynamically by learning how to treat style sheets as objects.
